BILLET SAW SYSTEMS

Alu-Cut International Inc utilizes both band saw and circular saw technology for cutting extrusion billets.

By offering both technologies Alu-Cut International Inc offers the full benefits of both technologies, marrying each system to the customer's requirements.

Typically, band saws for billet cutting are utilized in 'just-in-time' cutting where the billet is cut just prior to the billet heater or, in certain circumstances, after the billet heater.  These sort of systems are tailored to suit customer's requirements including 2-piece billets, optimization of log usage, secondary billet stacking, cyclone chip extraction and offers band saw systems from 100 mm to 760 mm diameter capacity.

The latest technology in cut length control is offered with  a no billet contact stop but rather a smooth ramp up to speed, feed to length and ramp down to final positioning through a servo system.

Stand alone billet cutting systems where the saw system is supplying two or more extrusion presses utilizes either circular saw or band saw technology depending on customer's requirements.  Again a full range of accessories is available with automatic weighing, stacking, strapping and chip removal.
